Field Band Championships 2011

The 2011 Field Band Foundation Championships took place at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg on Saturday 8th October.

Bands from all over the country took part. The competition was won by the Black Like Me Mdantsane Field Band from East London with the two De Beers bands from Kimberley and Cullinan in second and third positions.

The Field Band Foundation manages 32 marching bands in South Africa's most disadvantaged communities and De Beers works as the Foundation's primary corporate supporter, choosing to work in our country's most desperately social challenged areas.
