Newly revived modus operandi being used by criminals again - be on the lookout
There was a recent report of the following modus operandi which CSS Tactical felt it necessary to make readers aware of which was being used quite some time ago but dissolved over time, however may be re-emerging.
What happens is that the suspects will drive up behind you in your vehicle and bump into you from behind. They will get out of their vehicle to let you assume that they are assessing the damage, and once you have done the same, they then will rob you at gunpoint.
If you are in your vehicle and are stationary at the time and suddenly a vehicle with suspicious looking males bumps into you, please do not leave your vehicle. If you are in a CSS area, contact their control room immediately and request to meet the nearest vehicle at the closest point possible. If possible, try and get the make, colour and registration of the vehicle as well as its number of occupants.
If you are not in a CSS area, again try and ascertain the details without having to leave your car and drive to the closest police station to report it, then that area's SAPS sector vehicle can go on lookout for the suspicious car.
