Analogue Nites, stylishly presented by Peroni, ft Tumi and the Volume

The last Thursday of the month, February 24 is upon us and that means it’s time to get ANALOGUE!!! This month, we welcome a LEGEND back onto our stage- none other than TUMI AND THEVOLUME- with our partner in style- Peroni at Moyo, Melrose Arch from 8pm!

On stage this month VAN D1 Entertainment is proud to bring you the legendary hip hop band – Tumi and the Volume (i.e. TATV). TATV has for the past 2 years toured and performed across the globe sharing stages with illustrious... names like The Roots, Blackalicious, K’Naan, Massive Attack and Coldplay.

Through unforgettable encounters and rich exchanges, these perennial champions of hip hop otherness are today at the summit of their art.

‘Pick a Dream’, their 3rd album, is paintbrush fodder for the eager hand. At times it is dancefloor marvellous Afrobeat, other times it is the melancholic poetry of questioning lyrics, moving into a forceful hip hop exhibit.

The artists that assist TATV achieve this agenda represent it in their own careers; Zubz the Zimbabwean MC lends his power to ‘Asinamali’, while Fixi from Java continues to fly the flag for French multiculturalism with a stunning accordion feature on the sportive ‘Reality Check’.

The SA/Canadian singer Zaki Ibrahim makes an appearance on this colourful album, weaved together by the engineering wizard Laurent Dupuy. And hidden in the last minutes of the album is a special creole ballad featuring the beautiful singing warrior Danyel Waro from Reunion Island.

Simply put this promises to be an UNFORGETTABLE musical ANALOGUE experience that YOU CANNOT MISS!

As always, we have the ILLEST OLD-SCHOOL VERSUS NEW-SCHOOL DUO, DJs Wandi and Kenzhero to keep you on your feet until the early hours of the morning! So, let’s get ANALOGUE !!!!

2) VAN D1 Entertainment will then send you an invoice that you that you will have to settle either via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) or direct deposit
3) Email proof of payment to bookings@vand1.co.za by no later than 16h00 on Wednesday 23 February 2011.
4) The names of all those who have been paid for will be added to the event guest list. NB: Please bring proof of identification (e.g. drivers license) to the door?
